Another #BandcampFriday where I have nothing new and no clue what to do, so here's a song. There are more, to be sure. Some have been favorably compared to other songs of mine. I wanted to call my genre "apocalyptic pop" but it was taken so I went with "interesting music for interesting times". It still sounds mostly goth- and industrial/ebm-adjacent, with lots of electronics and juvenile angsty lyrics.
I'm all for ridiculing non-Italian people for putting ketchup on their pasta but what I'm doing right now (spouse had an emergency surgery and I must feed the spawn) is worse.
Getting a few custom patches made turned out to be economically unfeasible. So, here's the next best thing, thanks to my lack of talent, non-existent skills and inadequate tools. #GNUTerryPratchett image
Almost but not quite too late: happy #TerryPrachett day to all who celebrate!
"She left people thinking they were slightly better people. They weren’t, but as Nanny said, it gave them something to live up to." (from Wintersmith) #GNUTerryPratchett - who singlehandedly made humanity fractionally better.
That time Pratchett talked about the current political situation "And some people didn’t like anyone who knew more than they did, so these days the wandering teachers and the travelling librarians steered clear of the place." (from Wintersmith) #GNUTerryPratchett
So, TRON: Ares. pros: - NIN - also, I loved Tron (1982) to bits *even when I watched it as a grownup* cons: - the premise seems idiotic - light cycles turning off the trail? COME ON! - no frisbee so far - Jared fucking Leto I don't know.
Fuck.
I'm still unemployed, and I'm starting to think that I'm not going to find a job with #Django (in Berlin or remote). After 25yrs as a dev I'm really pretty good - actually I'm good enough that I'm a better tailwind developer after three days' than people who've been using it for a year or more. And that's with me being a backender by trade. Anybody's hiring? I'm also a good tech lead, I can do devops, etc etc. #FediHire #getfedihired
Given my track record, I could single-handedly crash the entire AI industry simply by investing all my life savings in OpenAI.
