Not going to lie I was pretty sure I was too chudlike to manage switching to GrapheneOS, but I've got to say, I feel refreshed and cleansed. Also way less clunky than I thought it would be, pretty snappy. @Zapstore and Obtanium FTW. I'm late to the party but my whole journey has been a gradual concession to making things as difficult and dorky as possible in my digital realm.
Finally got around to beginning the move over to GrapheneOS. Restarting with just the stuff I want, silent.link signal and simplex. Keeping the old phone as a trash heap for the spam calls and regular garbage in garbage out.
Just rewatched Army of Darkness. Hundreds of people on screen, choreographed fights, enormous set design, stop motion, pyrotechnics, hundreds of props and puppets, special effects artist mastery, stunt men, latex, slapstick comedy, Bruce Campbell, guys on fire, skeletons, great musical score, comedy, full commitment to the bullshit, seven Bruce Campbells fighting one Bruce Campbell Charlie Chaps meets the stooges style, smooth runtime of about 80 minutes... $13 million dollars in 1992. Even in terms of inflation this shit still rules. And the amount of effort to make it a thing is monumental. And it gives no regards to your understanding for the lore of the prior two movies because it doesn't even care. There's no "message" to be had. It's pure unrivaled spectacle. You get on the ride and enjoy it or you lose out. They don't make bullshit like they used to.

Spent all day at work wondering why my node went offline and my miners switched to their fallback pools, ruling out a power outage. Finally got home and it wouldn't turn on. Turns out the cats must've been rough housing behind the TV and managed to unplug just my node. Crisis averted.
