Walking to work this morning, Manchester, UK, facing west, about an hour before sunrise, I saw two white lights like bright stars in the sky that looked unfamiliar. About an inch apart, about 20-25 degrees above the horizon. Steady, not twinkling or blinking, not moving in relation to each other, or noticeably across the sky. As I walked and watched them, in the space of 4 or 5 strides, they dimmed and disappeared. What did I see? I'm assuming satellites entering the earth's shadow?

Q4: Aside from carpentry, I also work on a garden railway. What sort of side project would you would enjoy having as a distraction or change from your usual activity? #MakersHour I quite fancy doing up a classic Mini one day. Or making some dog agility equipment for my dog to play on, when I have a dog. Or building an overly grand chicken house, and a little wooden bridge for my ducks to walk over.
