At Orphans of Uganda Children Center, we believe that health is a foundation of hope. Many of the children under our care have come from difficult backgrounds, often with no access to basic medical services. Our medical sector was created out of the urgent need to ensure every child receives proper healthcare, treatment, and preventive support.
๐ What We Provide:
Regular health checkups for all children
Emergency care in case of accidents or sickness
Vaccinations and preventive health campaigns
Treatment for malaria, typhoid, and other common illnesses
Health education to promote hygiene and nutrition
๐ Current Challenges:
We lack a fully equipped clinic or sickbay within our orphanage
Many times we have to travel long distances to access healthcare
We are often forced to borrow or appeal for emergency funds to handle serious medical cases
We lack enough first-aid supplies and medicine stock
๐ฟ Our Dream:
We hope to build a small on-site medical unit where children can be treated quickly and monitored closely, with a nurse or volunteer health worker stationed regularly. This will not only reduce costs but save lives in emergencies.
