 Here is a beta link to #PeerVue for #roku This project was mothballed ages ago because #peertube and #roku had compatibility issues around audio streams. I think the latest peertube made changes that would fix this but many servers would need to upgrade before it would work. I have no intention of picking up this project, but someone should. It seems time. I just wanted to make it work because I found #redDwarf on dalek.zone and want to watch on my TV 😂

How does #peertube work? Specifically how does video federation work? Do videos get copied to each server or just the metadata about a video -- and playback always originates at the one server where it was uploaded using webtorrent or hls etc? Asking because, wouldn't it be possible to host a SuperTube instance that *only* federates other servers to provide a one stop shop? SepiaSearch allows you do find videos across 1000 servers but not playback. Couldn't it just be a peertube instance?
