All views shown on videos are real. The views are registered to Nostr once the video starts. For non-logged in viewers, it uses an ephemeral keypair to register the view event. Similarly, on live streams the watching count is also real to within 5min as every 4min of viewing a live stream it registers an event to Nostr as still watching. View quoted note β
The new version uses @rabble forked NIP-71 with replaceable event kinds 34235/34236 which can be edited. BUT it also submits the videos as kind 1 and kind 21/22. Then, it fetches all the engagement (reactions, comments, zaps) across all 3 and blends together into a single page, while only showing the kind 34235/34236 versions in the app π View quoted note β
