If anyone is looking for a Sunday morning read, I'd suggest catching up on the Morris vs Belfast Film Festival tribunal, summaries and articles on various platforms. It has been a very exciting case for the law nerds among us, and will be a very interesting result all round for a couple of reasons, including ; Naiomi Cunningham and co are UK barristers and not at the Norn Irish bar. This has made for some not unnoticed hostilities as they are clearly "themmuns"; the Equality Act is not fully applied in NI, meaning the judge has more wiggle room in judging grounds for positive discrimination; the supreme Court ruling on the definition of woman in the Equality Act is disputed in NI under the Windsor framework; one panel member has resigned siting health issues but only after accusations of panel wide bias.
