I believe the best way to bring a large amount of mining back home is via heating appliances. Decentralize hashrate and block template construction with more “mining operators” - aka “smart home” heating systems. But doing this requires overcoming some challenges and industry shifts. I’m absolutely thrilled with the efforts of companies like @OCEAN and Proto Mining - doing the grunt work to make this possible. But this is just the start. I wrote a book all about the emerging hashrate heating industry. It highlights why I think this makes sense, who’s a good fit for it, and what other barriers we must overcome for it to scale. @jack , I’d love to send you a copy. I think you’d find it interesting! image

Reflecting on an unreal experience at The Park last week. Blessed to have been a small part of NEMS 2025. Here are my biggest takeaways: 1. Physical bitcoin hubs punch above their weight. High signal summits, meetups and events accelerate adoption, build relationships and more. I was inspired by NEMS 2024 at @Bitcoin Park last year to help build a Bitcoin hub of our own in Denver. We pulled it off. If you haven’t been yet, swing through The Space @The Space and shout out to everyone at The Park for being a great resource. 2. Miners are my favorite folks in bitcoin. I think it’s the way my brian is wired. It’s tangible. It’s physical. It’s real work in the trenches. Hunting wasted resources, balancing load and monetizing heat. We’re just getting started. 3. Bitcoin is a cheat code for finding your calling. It helps people find their niche. Spending your time and energy with those who share your world view make every day rewarding. It was great to get to know those who’ve inspired me more closely. And amazing to meet the people who were part of my bitcoin journey from the start. Bullish on what’s to come from The Commons, The Park and The Space 🫡 @Marty Bent image
