# Deloitte refunds Australian government over AI in report > Deloitte has agreed to refund part of an Australian government contract after admitting it used generative AI to produce a report riddled with fake citations, phantom footnotes, and even a made-up quote from a Federal Court judgment. Generative AI: the grift that never stops giving?
If you are a user of mastodon.social or mastodon.online, or are just generally interested in terms and conditions, please take a look at the newly-redrafted proposed terms for those two instances, and give your feedback via the channels in this GitHub issue: Supportive, or constructively critical, both are welcome! Notes: * These are draft terms specific to those two instances, although they might form the basis of a template or two in future. Perhaps. * They are *not* terms which apply to the whole fediverse, or all Mastodon instances etc. #Mastodon #FediMeta #LawFedi

> We have been forced to geo-block access from the United Kingdom to the lgbtqia.space services and community. > This action is a direct result of the UK's Orwellian "Online Safety Act" a piece of legislation that, despite its name, is incredibly dangerous to online privacy and makes the internet absolutely not safe for marginalized communities and the volunteers who run services like this one. This isn't new, but I saw it again this morning, and it made me sad. #OnlineSafetyAct
I erred in selecting Android as my mobile device platform. That's the nub of it. The haunting spectre of Google looms closer. Remedying my error is going to be tough. It will require significant compromise on my part. For some things, I just don't have an answer. But to stay with it any longer, without focussing on the escape plan, feels foolish. Anyway, happy Saturday.
Have any of you had hands-on time with a modern **not-smart** mobile/cellular phone? What was it? What did you think?
Google being clear that, if you want to distribute an app for Android, whether via another store (such as F-Droid) or just for side loading, you will need to register with Google. Time to push harder against this restriction. #Android #FDroid
