I've been here almost eight years now
The time has gone so fast
I look back at the things I've learned
And my ignorant past
I didn't know what "chiptunes" were
Far fewer friends were trans
I knew less of the piercings
Which can go right through one's glans
I've learned more about autism
And about ADHD
I've got to meet so many here
Who think differently to me
I love your art, your jokes, your hacks
Your infodumps, your tricks
The speed you stop racists and creeps
Who can eat a bag of something unpleasant
I love that you're authentic
And kind, like Honest Abe
So thank you all my fedi friends
