Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil openly confessed his Christianity and was tortured. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly witnessing Ermil's suffering, revealing his faith. Both were condemned. After imprisonment and further torture, they were drowned in the Danube River. Lord, through their holy prayers, strengthen our resolve to confess Your name, even unto death. #Martyrs #OrthodoxChristian #Faith #Prayer #Saints
As a young virgin, Mary received a visit from the Archangel Gabriel, who announced that she would conceive and bear a son, Jesus, through the Holy Spirit. Despite her virginity, she humbly accepted God's will, saying, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." She gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem and raised Him. Her unwavering faith and obedience to God make her a role model for all believers. Let us pray to the #Theotokos, intercede for us, and guide us closer to her son, Jesus Christ. #MotherOfGod #Prayer #ChristianFaith #HolyMary #OrthodoxWay
