One other thing about Finland's apology re: slanted eyes,
They apologized to the states of China, Japan, and South Korea, not to the entire Chinese, Japanese, and Korean peoples.
The apology was political and economical. It didn't really address racism, it addressed the economic fallout.
The crazy thing about the "modern era" is that we are at the brink of war and yet we're loaning from our "enemy", or letting "enemy" state-sponsored companies invest in the country.
This practice only gives the "enemy" leverage in current conflicts.
