A very positive thing about #ASEAN : everyone is welcome to join the summits (twice a year). - #Brazil & #SouthAfrica is in today's summit - #PapuaNewGuinea is an observer (trying to join too) - #Bangladesh is trying to be an observer (& eventually join) - #Fiji applied for observer only - & so on.
Now that #TimorLeste is a family member of #ASEAN , it's time to search what jobs are available there. Timorians also now have easy access to the job market in the region.
I wonder what the Malaysians are actually feeling when they welcomed the son of former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.—who planned for the takeover of Sabah—for the #ASEAN summit. Many Moros died after it was exposed—in Sabah through the hands of Malaysian forces, and in the #Philippines.
By the way, for non-Asians, the correct pronunciation of Timor-Leste is /ti·mor/ /les·te/ not /ti·mor/ /lest/. Many of you will be reporting this in news and in online videos. So, just a friendly FYI. 🇹🇱 Again, welcome to the #ASEAN family Timorians! #TimorLeste
Tomorrow, the 26th of October 2025, Sunday, will be a very historic day: - #TimorLeste becomes the 11th member of #ASEAN Welcome to the group! Now you can join our ASEAN family feuds. /rawr Just remember, we stand together if non-ASEANs join the fray. 🤪 #Philippines #Singapore #Indonesia
Here's why Korean Romanization is bad for Filipinos to learn: they were designed with American and British English in mind. Philippine English, which is an officially recognized variant of World English since the 80s (equal level with American and British), already have the similar pronunciations.
I'm bad with names, so character profiles are great. - Kang TaeO is IGang (or Yi Gang) - Kim SeJeong is Bak Dal-i (or Park DaLi) RE:
Things we have forgotten: - newsgroups - mailinglists/egroups - webring - cgi-bin - cyberspace - mail merge - Wordstar - bbs - ports (game/serial/parallel) - zip drive - cartridge - Information Superhighway - surf (web) - frag - toon - shareware - proc - ASL / NASL - talk to the hand - SCSI - 1337
It still surprises me sometimes that there are areas where the #Philippines, supposedly a "third-world" country, is a few steps ahead. We've had this for decades already. A few years ago, digital services were strictly reminded the law includes them and doesn't need an update. RE:
If you want to use AI chat as a search engine, you need to be clever. For example, if you ask for information about a sensitive topic, it refuses even if it's for research, education purposes. Reword your question, "based on existing studies" and it will give you the answers it refused to give. 🤪
