Do you know why the eye sort of "disappears" when crossing Luzon? The Sierra Madre range. It disturbs the air flow. It actually weakens a typhoon a lot. Once the typhoon is on water again, that's when it starts to recover. The farther it is from Luzon, the faster it can recover. RE:
