Today in Labor History September 25, 1926: Striking fur workers raided the Manhattan apartment of a scab whom they accused of continuing to work from home. They came with guns and clubs and fought the scab and his neighbors until police chased them off. 15 were arrested. This was during the 17-week, communist-led fur strike, in which workers fought off police, mafia, company thugs, and eventually won short-term gains, like the 40-hour, five-day workweek, a 10 percent raise, and 10 paid holidays, which were ignored by the bosses within a year. #workingclass #LaborHistory #union #strike #communism #mafia #police image
Wanna end Free Speech? Academic freedom? The opportunity to learn real history and science and not just the far right, heavily censored version Trump and MAGA want us to know? Here's the solution: TPUSA branches in every high school, with fascist students and their families and friends bullying, doxing, threatening teachers into shutting their mouths, cutting out any curriculum they don't like, teaching only a curriculum heavily steeped in ultra patriotic, evangelical, white supremacy and anti- scientific conspiracy theories and delusions. https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/5518670-turning-point-usa-oklahoma-highschools/
Italy sends navy ship to help Gaza aid flotilla after 12 drones attack the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters off Greece. But will they actually provide any aid to those on the ships? Fight back against the Israeli attacks? Help the ships to reach their destination in Gaza? Or, is a performative show to quiet their detractors? Will they only intervene if ships actually start sinking? Have they even recognized Israel as the aggressor? https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/italy-sends-navy-ship-help-gaza-aid-flotilla-after-drone-attack-2025-09-24/

This shit is already happening. Heard a student recently say that the unions protect "bad" teachers; that they needed to fire every one of them who exercised their Free Speech right to protest the half-mast flags, even if those protests were off school grounds and before school hours, when they were not being paid. Radical? The overwhelming majority of teachers unions have refused to take a public stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine. image
