RE: California making a privacy tool: β€œYou need to use some random third-party vendors some lobbyist told us about to confirm your state residency. Btw we have no clue if those vendors are even legal. That’s on you dawg, good luck.”
I feel like I post to #mastodon significantly less after quote toots were introduced, simply because 90% of the time I want to make a post quoting something, and it will say β€œyou’re not allowed to quote this toot” (a β€œfeature” I still maintain was a mistake to implement lol), so I just keep it to myself :)

Why don’t TV shows just start filming the next season when the current season is in post-production, because what do you mean The White Lotus season 4 filming hasn’t even started yet? 😭

RE: It's honestly crazy how much better Firefox would be if Zen Browser just was Firefox. If Mozilla were smart they'd do this, but that'll never happen in their current anti-user organization. View quoted note β†’
RE: I say this about every Privacy Guides video, because it is repeatedly true, but this video is our best one yet 🀩 And this is an absolutely critical watch if you're in the U.S.A., or at least contact your reps via if you don't watch. The bills being proposed (largely by Democrats, they are not fighting for you!) will have a devastating global impact on free speech and privacy online. View quoted note β†’
RE: Mozilla has been a clown show for years now, and this really cements it in. **Mozilla needs to re-focus on the fundamentals**, because they have already tried this strategy of chasing the latest trends *for over a decade* only to later kill those things off. The world does not need an AI browser, and it certainly does not need *another* one. The world needs a capable and reliable browser that sticks to its guns and pushes back against Chromium's monoculture. The last Mozilla CEO did not understand this, the new Mozilla CEO does not understand this, and I have 0 faith the next one will understand this either, if Mozilla survives this long. Professional foot-gun users is what Mozilla leadership is. View quoted note β†’
