Some of my favorite Mac and iOS apps for 2024. A handy list of useful apps and art tools made by indie developers I love.

I tried cooking tofu in a waffle iron... and it was fantastic! Seriously! I used firm tofu and cut it into three slices, about 1/2" each. I cooked each slice in the iron for 10-15 minutes, then cut them into strips, and then seasoned them with Szechuan spices and chili oil. It's a nice chewy texture with a crisp outside, sort of like chicken nuggets. #vegetarian #tofu

I'm 46 and never listened to a Cure album before. I fixed that today. "Songs Of a Lost World" is a pretty good album. Not sure if I'll be playing it again, but it was better than I expected.

It looks like Archive.org is down again. It had been running on limited functionality for a few days.

Sometimes life hands you a theremin. I found this simple theremin and portable amp at an estate sale on #BernalHeights today. The family shared the story of the previous owner, who was a music teacher. They said she used to pull it out at parties for people to play with and asked if I could keep that tradition going. I’ll do my best :)

I had a great time at the #DrawingRoomSF tonight. They do this event every friday and I highly recommend checking it out if you are in #SanFrancisco. Lots of cool folks to chat to, art supplies to be used, and music to be enjoyed.
