On my last trip, I brought a bunch of chutneys and pickles for the cooks in the hotel. On this visit, they sent a boatload of snacks and sweets up to my room like spicy dried banana chips and murukku (chickpea flour snacks). My friend Athula sent a tub of spiced rice, some mango/coconut pachadi, some okra pachadi, and a fantastic spicy puffed rice namkeen. Eat your heart out. image
