This is the supreme irony of the MAGA schism over H-1Bs. Many workers who stayed at Twitter after Musk’s takeover did so because their status in the US was contingent on their employment. I don't think big pubs are beyond criticism and I realize I work for one, but the diatribes against "legacy media" from folks this week who wrote/reported their own stories or posts after a mainstream outlet broke the news is a little rich.
