Day 9 Scouty went to doggy day care. We went to Wet’n’wild Sun, swimming and slides.
Living in a Caravan: Hot Tip number 2. Everyone has jobs for pack up and pack down. Assign everyone tasks, they do it each and every time in sequence. Everyone knows their job, what needs to be done and when to do it. After just a week on the road we have setup and pack down pretty streamlined. (Mind you we have owned this van for a few years now, so it is not foreign to us) The kids have their jobs and love being involved in the process. I make sure to thank them individually for their help and let them know how much their efforts contributed and how grateful I am.
Living in a caravan: Hot Tip number 1. Your inbuilt toilet is for number 1’s ONLY!!! You DO NOT want to live in a portaloo. It WILL start smelling like one, regardless how much blue loo you use. We have a strict number 1 rule only UNLESS it’s an absolute emergency. In which case it is cleaned at the earliest opportunity. The use of blue-loo liquid or tablets are a must. These are our preferred: https://www.outbackequipment.com.au/porta-pak-express-superior-cassette-portable-toile~25282?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21877373218&utm_content=&utm_term=&gad_source=1
Day 8 Scouty (dog) went to a friends place while the fam went over and hungout with Bitcoiner’s on South Stradbroke Island while I played a gig. 4 hours of tunes with an epic crowd. Still can’t get over the turnover of people there. Absolutely amazing venue and staff. Scott and his wife are Bitcoiners and do an amazing job of running the resort. Just a magic day.
Still my favourite coffee mug. It’s all true, especially the last point…. ;) image
After one week into our travels I am already much more relaxed, far less anxious and stressed and definitely less neurotic. It’s amazing how much those things creep into every day life. And a week long holiday here or there doesn’t feel the same. And Bitcoin has honestly made all these symptoms lessen over time. Once your basic needs are being met, you can start to really enjoy life. It’s an amazing feeling. At this stage I have only committed to 7months away from the fiat mines before I have to go back for another 5 that I committed to while we continue homeschooling and travelling in the van for a full 12 months. But honestly, I am not sure I will ever be the same after this…..not sure I can go back.
