Remember that this is not the season of spending a lot of money to give an expected gift. It is not the season to run yourself ragged trying to please everyone. It is not the season of wearing thin emotionally because we’re obligated to make everyone else happy while forgetting yourself.
Doing worthwhile/important things will take energy and effort and can leave us tired, in a good way.
Remember that this is a time to be with family, to laugh, love and enjoy their company. It is a time to give without expecting anything in return. It is a time to remember that (even though Dec 25 is not when Christ came) Christ, God in human flesh, came to live a perfect life, bear our sins upon Himself and rise from death to life, giving us an opportunity by His grace through our faith to spend the world to come with Him. Let’s not forget the reason we come together as family and friends, brothers and sisters; to enjoy fellowship with Him and with each other.
