What is everyone using for podcast consumption? I fell out with Apple when it deleted my playlists years ago so not interested in going back to it. Particularly interested anything that works well on an Apple Watch. Would prefer something not stuck with iOS though too.
Also was hoping that we had gotten enough of the water out with a carpet wet vac but now we are working on Tim’s car’s new mold issues thanks to this storm. Vehicle has never leaked before but had a puddle on Saturday we think because he parked at a slant and something didn’t drain right. Tired.
Also the other Wordpress thing I'm looking into is a plugin that converts a Wordpress site into a static site. Either with WP in the background still like MAYBE (not vetted) [simplystatic.com]( ) I'm not sure if in an emergency you could pull WP from your server & leave a static site though.
THIS was something I was looking for again for Wordpress. If you are a theme or plugin developer you probably want to be looking at this. [github.com/afragen/git-...]( ) [GitHub - afragen/git-updater: ...]( )
I just remembered [www.classicpress.net]( ) which is fork of WordPress 4.9 pre-Gutenberg. Adding this to my CMSs feed. Anything that becomes talked about enough I will likely create a separate feed for (Reminder: feeds are not exclusive to 1 person, create your own same topic if you don't like mine.) [ClassicPress | Stable. Lightwe...]( )
Generator cords dismantled & spike bars reorganized. The garage is now partially cleared of bourbon fest stuff & Tim is unloading at the storage unit. Ready for staging 2 upcoming medium events. 1 this week, 1 next. Laundry going. Dishwasher just finished. Building my mini-standing desk now. 😴 https://shiitake.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:tbr4cunn6r4hox73ybzjfwt3&cid=bafkreicyq32l6bzouc4rq2hdxek5yan36eqzka4uhugh5myf7ycc6nsz3u
This is your reminder to fix allllll of your clocks if the power has been out. Sound on if you want to listen to the flipping & accidentally catching on the buzzer on this 1970’s stove / double oven. (Ignore that it clearly needs to be cleaned again when viewed from this angle.) https://shiitake.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:tbr4cunn6r4hox73ybzjfwt3&cid=bafkreiahj5utu2izwt3saychs5dmsc53fduu3mfphxwnbvnfaabeg6e3a4
I made coffee last night just in case the power went out again. So far it’s held and stayed on. (Sometimes after a storm it ends up being turned off again for additional repairs so … still fingers crossed.) https://shiitake.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:tbr4cunn6r4hox73ybzjfwt3&cid=bafkreih3q6s45ds5cnl3eb3r55gqipcudj472sgbsi6kw4c5gfg2fnrg3q
My power finally came back on a few hours ago thankfully. There have been some surges (UPS battery makes noise when they happen.) So I’ve left all of the extension cords in place in case the generator has to be deployed again. Fingers crossed I sleep better tonight.
Still don't have power but at least it's got an update that they're aware its a tree & estimated time to get power is 11pm. Which would be good because the ground has finally saturated & might need something to run the sump pump by tomorrow. I don't think I can do fridge & sump pump same time. RE:
