💥 A victory for privacy & civil society! The Hungarian Presidency's last-ditch effort to pass a problematic Child Sexual Abuse Regulation text backfired today. Blocking countries delivered strong statements, citing: 🔒 Risks of indiscriminate surveillance; ⚖️ Legal flaws; 💻 Technical concerns (e.g., client-side scanning). With the Polish Presidency unlikely to advance the file, the proposal faces serious hurdles unless overhauled. This is proof that persistent advocacy works. #CSAR #E2EE
