EDRi's Claire Fernandez & Blue Tiyavorabun are at the #AIActionSummit in Paris, with heads of states, EU officials, industry execs, academics, (some) civil society representatives. EU legislation is under attack by Big tech. The EU AI Act enforcement remains weak. In this context, we regret that the Summit chose to center business and industry needs over public interest.The French govt – boosted by the EC's de-regulation agenda– turns a blind eye to current AI human and environmental harms.
