Here's a thought... From a deterministic point of view, there's not much difference between human and LLM's other then the perceived experience of what we call "consciousness" and our illusion of the "self". Neither of us has true agency. We’re both part of the same causative web, just expressions of different parts of the system. Hmmmm 🤔

I know no one wants to admit this, but it might’ve been a mistake building all of our cities on rock ‘n’ roll.

We finally dropped Amazon Prime. We just haven't used it enough to justify having it. The years before, sure, we got our monies worth in free shipping, but this last year we've cut down spending significantly and haven't ordered more then a handful of things. So now I'm hoping this will encourage people in the house to stop using Amazon altogether.

I have a question. It's gonna be a hard one, but I think there may be value in not only the question, but the answers that arise from it. Imagine for a moment that you knew that everything that has ever happened, had to happen. That there never was a version where the things that happened, are happening, or will ever happen, could happen any other way then they did. Knowing this, how would you choose to look at the world? Would you adopt nihilism, or would it cause you to be more empathetic?

I think what concerns me the most these days is how willing people are to give up their ethics for convenience. They'll vote for a fascist because they think it will drop the price of Pop Tarts. They'll visit web services that actively work against their best interests. They'll buy items from brands that they know work against their best interests. And then when you mention that to them, they get offended that you pointed it out. 🤷

#Today is Wednesday. For me that means I have a few loads of laundry to do. Yay! (not) It also means my GF is remote working from home today! YAY!! (yay!) Also I got woken up a dozen times last night because my girlfriend was snoring like she was drowning in her own snot as well as kicking me all night! I'm tired as fuck now! (boo!) That's it for me.
