I’m just saying, we didn’t have these polar vortex problems before all those traffic circles went in here in Atlanta :illuminati:
Well friends, it finally happened. A VPN provider finally reached out to wag some money in my face to promote their service here. It seems a bit alarming that running a VPN service is apparently so profitable that providers are able to spend all this money on advertising (seems like half of podcasts have VPN sponsors and the other half are sponsored by square space) I still own guardllama.io so maybe I need to set up my own VPN service under that name πŸ˜‚

Some day, I am going to write a book based on the more unusual reasons provided by people/bots trying to register infosec.exchange accounts.
For $reasons, I had 5 24 packs of coke cans to give out for Halloween. In my 6 decades Halloween, I don’t think I’ve ever seen kids that excited. One ran down the street screaming β€œI GOT CAFFEINE!” Yeah, that was probably ill advised, but it was not as bad as those Nickleback CDs

There have been a deeply disappointing number of mastodon account takeovers in the past few weeks used to spam out malicious links in the guise of porn. I’m guessing most or all are abandon accounts, so the owner doesn’t even realize. Please please please enable two factor authentication on your mastodon accounts regardless of which instance you are on or how sensitive or not you think the stuff you post is.
