I'm only 6 minutes in and I'm already sharing this: What have you done today? Nothing. Nothing at all. #philosophy
I'm not a person of low resolution, cheap attacks, taking easy sides at a dumb game, etc. But honestly I've come to conclude the following, I truly believe that around half of the population worldwide is being manipulated by anger, resentment while being maintained slaves (at all levels, spiritual, philosophical, economic, etc). Because the other side also uses emotion but at least they offer a clear philosophical and economic framework for the individual and collective to work/build something together. And then there's one side that's just looking to destroy. Or am I missing something? #philosophy #politics #thoughts #finance
In the next 5 to 10 years it will become perfectly apparent that many nation states will become excellent places to live. Rural depopulation, some tax advantages and that's it, you have millions of places in the world where you can build your alternative. #bitcoin #moving
Do it. Defy the universe with kindness. See what it says. #philosophy
I don't have a particularly strong position on the OP_RETURN, Core vs Knots thing but I'm not a fan at all of top-down anything. The free-market should be bottom-up and voluntaryist by nature. Every interaction in a real free market has to voluntary. This means options. Freedom of choice basically. I think this form of thinking (censoring choices) is a slippery slope. In other words, why not just let the nodes that want to save that info, save that info and then provide services on top of that? And others who don't, leave them alone? Are you really telling me you need to censor a 1/3 of Bitcoin for your better alternative to work? And I know Peter Todd is not advocating for this here, he's just saying "how easy it would be". What am I missing here? image #bitcoin #discussion #asknostr #opreturn
I find it incredible how people so willingly accept Government contracts. In practice everybody that accepts or is part of a government contract, especially if that government/State is not a direct democracy and the people didn't vote for that specific contract, it's in effect the most common and widespread form of legalized stealing. I will never understand how people accept this. Some benefit immensely by being close to the State, while others are oppressed and persecuted with everything. Don't you think something has to be changed?
If Trump manages to get a relatively substantial Bitcoin reserve before China, the game changes completely and forever. Because China has the production and skills. That's clear. But they don't have the capital or the financial/ownership/politics structure (i.e the reigns of capitalism?). And a move to the most pristine form of capital would truly bring a breath of fresh air to the US in that aspect. If the US has a better financial position, while simultaneously improving their manufacturing position (taking a bit back from China), then the world will be in a better position for the longer term. Because we need a freedom culture in the world too. We need freedom philosophy. We need philosophy and the US is probably one of the few places in the world where people still have the balls to say the truth. That's the most valuable thing in the world in my view. #politics #philosophy #geopolitics
There's $1000 plots of land in New Mexico. And a bunch of them. I wonder why people don't usually do this kind of stuff more often? Buying cheap land and going to live in the desert with a van, etc? Or I'm probably missing something fundamental here :D image https://www.zillow.com/nm/land/?searchQueryState=%7B%22pagination%22%3A%7B%7D%2C%22isMapVisible%22%3Atrue%2C%22mapBounds%22%3A%7B%22west%22%3A-107.26636502482243%2C%22east%22%3A-106.31879422404118%2C%22south%22%3A34.40406380828307%2C%22north%22%3A35.0597776313262%7D%2C%22usersSearchTerm%22%3A%22NM%22%2C%22regionSelection%22%3A%5B%7B%22regionId%22%3A41%2C%22regionType%22%3A2%7D%5D%2C%22filterState%22%3A%7B%22sort%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3A%22globalrelevanceex%22%7D%2C%22price%22%3A%7B%22min%22%3Anull%2C%22max%22%3A2000%7D%2C%22mp%22%3A%7B%22min%22%3Anull%2C%22max%22%3A10%7D%2C%22sf%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22tow%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22mf%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22con%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22apa%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22manu%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%2C%22apco%22%3A%7B%22value%22%3Afalse%7D%7D%2C%22isListVisible%22%3Atrue%7D
I think drug legalization in the West would reduce Cartel violence in South America very quickly. #libertarian #politics #philosophy
