I’ve heard this joke often … “if government can just print money, why do they tax us?”
That’s not how it works. Government controls money supply in the economy and so the credit available to producers. These guys then produce goods and services and wages, which in turn are used to buy those goods and services. That’s how an economy works. If the government just kept printing money, there would be super duper inflation
