Element has signed an open letter to European leaders alongside other organisations. We are concerned that the Danish Presidency’s current proposal on the Regulation for Child Sexual Abuse could introduce backdoors and client-side scanning, creating risks for security, innovation and digital sovereignty in Europe. We urge European leaders to ensure that any approach protects encryption, privacy, and the trust that underpins Europe’s digital ecosystem.
