🚨 @AtomicWallet Scam! 🚨
This is how an amazing charity helping vulnerable victims and their children got scammed.
A close friend—who was preparing to donate significant funds to @HouseofLifeMC in El Salvador—was scammed using Atomic Wallet. He’s a Bitcoiner and initially refused to use Atomic, but the exchange representative insisted on using it for fiat conversion, despite his clear objections.
We have found that the exchange contact is a pro scammer and an agent of Atomic Wallet, pressuring people into using the wallet.
Here’s what happened:
1.Bitcoin was sent to a freshly created wallet.
2.A small test transaction was received and withdrawn successfully.
3.But when the larger amount was sent, it was swept from the wallet before the first confirmation.
Despite repeated attempts to contact @AtomicwalletHP , @gladkos (its founder), and Charlie Shrem (who works closely with @gladkos ), we received only generic, dismissive replies or were completely ignored.
It’s especially disappointing that Charlie Shrem—once considered a respected voice in the Bitcoin community—is associated with scammy projects like Atomic Wallet, which has been linked to numerous serious security failures and user fund losses.
Instead of using his voice and influence to advocate for transparency and user protection, his response to our case (and many others) was simply, “Sorry for your loss.” But this isn’t just a loss—it’s theft.
Even a quick glance at Atomic’s online reviews shows hundreds of users reporting loses. Many users report losses following the same pattern.
THE BIG LESSON: investigate ANY wallet insisted by a counterparty. If you’re doubtful, change your counterparty. Wallets like Atomic prioritize altcoin speculation and meaningless DeFi projects over user security.

âś… @PhoenixWallet
âś… @Nunchuck_io
âś… @SparrowWallet (desktop)

I have launched the following fundraiser through @geyserfund to recover some of the stolen funds. Any little help is much appreciated
