atproto devs! what does an AppView even do? don't have bright lines around them right now, it depends on the "app", but here are some potential aspects! [What does an AppView implement...]( )
some new PDS mushroom servers will be coming in to rotation soon
if you want to chat about something sensitive, you can use Bluesky DMs to exchange contact info, but I would recommend moving the conversation to Signal. Bluesky DMs are private, but they are not (yet) E2EE. Signal is hardened, focused, and does privacy/security best.
tapping the sign: bluesky is a public network. do not make posts which can be interpreted as a physical threat against a living political figure. do not fly close to the sun.
we'll probably do a more formal atproto roadmap soon, but what we have been working on most recently: - Auth Scopes (for OAuth), as a new Lexicion declaration - Lexicion resolution (for publishing+discovering schemas) - finishing written specs also thinking about sync/firehose cost+ergonomics
as control of Twitter has become more openly partisan, now is a great time to encourage municipal and regional govt and civic comms teams to move, or at least provide alternatives! public transit, parks, libraries, museums, highway, utilities, weather, emergency, schools, etc
anybody have feature requests for goat? could it be more... you know.
nice write up! I think this kind of "atproto: for activitypub devs" is really helpful right now. a couple notes/replies in thread... RE:
we are looking in to a problem one of our smaller newer PDS instances. a few new accounts from today can't log in right now. hope to have resolved soon!
hello new and returning bsky users! one of the things we have been working on recently is making it easier to build and log in to other apps, clients, and toys. here are a few examples ๐Ÿงต
