@npub1hym8...k7w5 -- if i had had a 486 instead of a 386, and internet access when i tried (instead of having to walk like 15km with a backpack full of floppies to the university, where they did) when i was trying to get freebsd working it probably would have worked.
i could easily have found myself a freebsd user instead of a gnu user with only a few accidents of history going the other way.
