Codeberg has over 200k accounts and only 1.2k members, which, if we assume that the recommended membership fee is the average, works out to ~50k€ per year in membership dues. They’re asking for old hardware to run CI jobs, because they can’t just go out and buy a Mac Mini. There’s that joke about how underground artists are funded by passing the same $20 between themselves. This is also how tech bubbles happen, except it’s the same $200 billion.
I am, for some reason, still subscribed to Steve Yegge's blog, even though he went off the deep end years ago. A month ago, he wrote about "Beads", his new project, which is supposed to make "vibe" coding work. It's basically an issue tracker designed for LLM agents. You are welcome to read it, but I warn you: it's totally nuts. https://steve-yegge.medium.com/introducing-beads-a-coding-agent-memory-system-637d7d92514a
I really hope that when crabs have taken over the world, they do a better job than humans did.

Why don’t humans have subtitles?
