Stop pretending those who print money aren’t here to enslave you, your children, and unborn grandchildren. Your values, your culture, everything you hold dear will be ash unless you actualize your entire being, draw the line, and say no. #bitcoin
I only got on social media to spread the ethical message in my book. Meet people where they are. My twitter and nostr have been steadily growing together, basically 1 follower on nostr for every 2 on twitter. makes sense cause half the followers on twitter are bots, right? but i mirror post everything, and these last couple weeks twitter has pulled ahead and the obvious bot follows are less numerous. And that just makes me look in the mirror and ask why? I don’t think it’s the algo, i think people on twitter are reposting more, and if that’s the case, it’s on us. We have to in order to cross populate and give new people in nostr the means to connect their valuable content with others.
*I’m an atomized individual, my truth is my own, I do me, and you do you, we are not connected by any relation, our actions do have any impact on the world, the state is an abstract concept* *We are a collective species, we are the truth, there is no you, only we, our actions are not any persons, collective action is all that shapes the world, there is only the state.” Reality is stuck in between two absurd extremes. Yes, it’s hard. Yes, it’s mysterious. Yes, it requires judgment and we will get things wrong sometimes. But that’s being human.
The printer has no principled justification for its use. Fiat is a decree, a claim to power, of one man over another man. No number it spits out can justify printing money. Bitcoin gives us the ability to tune their decree out entirely.
“Broken Money” is great for what it is: macro. I’m not taking shots at @Lyn Alden I just recognize what macro is in relation to the whole. It’s like analyzing the paint on a car. And it just isn’t that important when we need to focus on the driver, the engine, and where the car is going. If we want to win, if we want normal people to get what is happening to them, and what they can do about it, we have to sacrifice the macro for the moral. Ethics before Economics. Courage before Comfort. We are framing a house, put down the pliers, pick up the nail gun.
