We're a couple of weeks into our fundraising campaign, where you can get our first Techdirt challenge coin, celebrating 30 years of Section 230. This is becoming more important than ever as 230 is under attack. Just yesterday a bill was released that would kill 230 [rtb.techdirt.com/products/fri...]( ) https://oyster.us-east.host.bsky.network/xrpc/com.atproto.sync.getBlob?did=did:plc:cak4klqoj3bqgk5rj6b4f5do&cid=bafkreiaaxkrzleghljdifumsv4adt6e6n2nwkisng2u6gwm43puiawn4wq
Bluesky folks came up with a fundamentally new and privacy-protecting method of doing this unlike every other service. Almost every negative response is based on how people assume Bluesky is doing this based on how bad everyone else does it. Bad actors have so poisoned the entire market... RE: View quoted note β†’
As always with Klobuchar, she actually flubbed this badly. By flipping from Kimmel to Trump on social media she leaves this huge opening, which Carr takes, for him to claim she's trying to censor social media. And in her case, that's true. She's been pushing Internet censorship for years. RE:
Why does Collins not immediately say "but you just said of Maduro that he's an indicted drug trafficker and that's why he needs to be in prison. The same was true of Hernandez. Why do you say one is different than the other?" How hard is that? RE:

Unlike a lot of people, I am not reflexively against the idea of an "AI browser," but I remain confused that no one who is offering "an AI browser" has yet explained to me in any compelling way what benefit I get out of an AI browser. It's possible it's there, but then... maybe explain why?
I see this argument made all the time and it's embarrassing for CCDH to keep making it, because it's a lie. Section 230, what they're talking about, does not give anyone a "get out of jail free" card. It simply puts the liability on the party who actually engaged in the violative behavior. RE:
Not even acknowledging the fact that she was convicted under state laws, not federal, and thus a Presidential pardon is meaningless, and then making even a laughable, minimal effort to try to refute that argument is, well... a choice. RE:
