Someone got mad at me for my thread earlier today, went around posting angry replies to a bunch of people talking about it, claiming that I was a dick for "locking replies" and then insisting that I was a "Democratic pundit" (I am absolutely not), and when I suggested he was mistaken, blocked me.
Musk has been saying this for a while & if I were as lucky as Musk has been, while still not understanding many of the basics regarding how society works, I'd probably think I was living in a simulation too. But a nice way for him to admit he doesn't actually think he deserves what he has

Marc surrounded himself with only people who kissed his ass and praised him for taking crazy risks, and now he views literally any suggestion that people merely think through the consequences of their actions, even from *the Pope*, as an affront to his entire concept of self.

This will probably get me yelled at, because I can see the consensus forming here that "strong floors, no ceiling" is the dumbest of all possible slogans. I would argue that it's actually not that bad, but that it's wrong for this moment (please read π§΅before yelling at me)...
Really appreciate the person who responded to this by scolding me that books belong in a library not a home, whose post was up for about 30 seconds before they (apparently?) thought better of it and deleted it. I donate tons of books every year to my library. But I keep some...

Jack Goldsmith who, at times, has been known to have written OLC legal memos that appear to suggest Presidents can do things that most people think are illegal. And even he's saying "yo, this is murder."
