Certainly not a bad decision having decided not to go to Dubai with Fam. For now? Who knows. This world is crazy. The times are crazy. I donβt know where we will live in 5 years. Dubai is still an exciting place to visit from time to time. Living there is rather different. Most people I know burned through cash very quickly. And one or two guys who live like kings are not reality. In Dubai you have to perform. Living expenses similar to Switzerland. A free country? An illusion. No VPN, no freedom of press. However, the way the royal family is currently managing things is very appealing and much better than any democracy anywhere in the world. Good to get reminded in the hotel this morning that Dubai is still on the list.
