i think the reason i keep thinking surely this isn't bad is because i keep comparing it to my graduating class where there's a big portion of students that weren't interested in learning anything

in the end I feel it's down to how you choose to wield and use certain technology
before AI, I would type out the solutions from StackOverflow *by hand*, I would not copy-paste code because if I do then I knew I wouldn't understand what it does
