#asknostr I am Getting like 5 old computers from my work not being able to update to windows 11. I am looking to get into home labbing but I don't really know why I want to do this or what I am doing. Any suggestions on a first step and what to use them for? Load up the fastest processor with max ram and all the disks or run multiple systems for different purposes. I am just a gamer who has been building his own PC with a couple of engineering coding courses under my belt. Any help would be appreciated.

Boomer Story Time Helped my old man take some old greenhouse glass to the dump today. The dump has a compost program but you have to load it yourself. I have been working on making a garden from scratch for the last 6 weeks and it's time for some compost so we toss a couple spades in his F150 after loading the glass. Get to the dump bouncer to weigh in and my dad tells her it's all household waste but we are going to get some compost too. She suggest we weigh out then go back to grab some compost so we don't mess with the waste payment by weight. Dad asks how much it is even though we both see the big hand drawn sign saying: COMPOST 25$ a cubic meter 10$ minimum She does the classic sign tap and without missing a beat my dad points to the box of the truck and says this isn't a cubic meter eh? How much for this? She paused, looks at the box and says probably only 10$. Fucking Legend just Boomed a 40$ bill down to 10$.
