I started using #Kagi search engine today on a trial basis to see how I like it. As a blog writer who really cares about my web presence, it makes me sad to know that the majority of people will end up reading summaries rather than visiting websites. I’ve put in a lot of effort making my website beautiful and educational—much more than just a sales platform. Using images & video more may be the way to go. Summaries can’t replace that kind of content. I just made a @MakerTube account.

I went to see an artist talk today with #GeesBend quilters Loretta Pettway and Louisiana Bendolph. I’ve adored their quilts for years and I feel affirmed by their presence in the art world—very laid back, no artist statements or artspeak, prioritizing fun and feeling good over technical perfection. Just very humbly making these amazing abstract expressionist quilts without even setting out to do so. #BlackArt #Americana #quilting
