Africa Bitcoin Day was a blast🧡!! Always a pleasure to talk Bitcoin and @Tando.me We had a meaningful conversation on Bitcoin’s infrastructure in Africa and for me, the core of that discussion always circles back to localizing Bitcoin products. I believe this is key: making Bitcoin feel like a natural extension of tools people already know and trust. In Kenya, that means things like M-Pesa and Saccos. When Bitcoin is designed to fit within those familiar frameworks, it stops feeling foreign or overly complex and instead becomes just another, better way to save and spend money. Because at the end of the day, people need to see bitcoin for what it truly is: money. In fact, better money. And to use it that way, they need tools that are simple & intuitive, just like the tools they already use every day. No one needs to understand every detail under the hood. We don’t ask that of cars or smartphones, and Bitcoin should be no different. As builders, that’s our job: to simplify the experience. To compress the technical layers and present Bitcoin in a way that’s straightforward, relatable, and usable, so it can actually serve the people it’s meant to empower.

Are you truly living, or just surviving? I recently sat on a panel at The Core’s recent graduation on “Why Bitcoin,” and this was the core of my message. Most people are stuck in a cycle: wake up, work, hustle, pay bills, repeat. They give it their all, yet it never feels like enough, not because they’re doing something wrong, but because they’re trapped in a broken system. A system that forces them to chase money that loses value every single day. It’s easy to think life is getting more expensive, but the truth is, it’s not. It’s that the money we’re working so hard for is losing value, thanks to inflation. It quietly steals from us, every day, without us even realizing it. So we keep hustling harder and harder, but no matter how much we work, it feels like we’re stuck in place. This is why hustle culture has taken over. We're told to grind, to juggle side hustles just to stay afloat. But this isn’t a flex; it’s a response to a broken system. And it's exhausting. And that's where Bitcoin comes in. Bitcoin is more than a financial system. It's freedom. It’s the soundest form of money in the world, scarce, decentralized, and built to protect value. Unlike fiat, it doesn’t erode your savings. It holds its worth, and over time, it can even grow. When your money holds its value, you don’t have to keep running just to stay in place. You’re no longer forced to trade all your hours for cash that quietly loses meaning. You get to reclaim your time and with it, your life. Bitcoin gives you the space to breathe. To be human again. To spend time with your family. To rest. To create. To do the things that truly matter. To live, not just exist. I encourage you to study Bitcoin. Explore it. Learn what it stands for.
