#Skwawkbox | Kids shot in head, pregnant women ripped apart: volunteer surgeon’s testimony shocks UNSC "Solidarity with Sidhwa and all the doctors risking life, limb and sanity to help Israel’s victims. Shame on the UK government and others who have either done nothing or, like the Starmer regime, have actively assisted in Israel’s racist slaughter of civilians for eighteen months and now think a little hand-wringing and more inaction will now hide their guilt." #Sidhwa #UN #Gaza #Genocide
So the new Harry Potter TV show is just going to be a remake of the movies because writing new material is too difficult apparently.
#ZackPolanski is making himself be seen as a politician opposing the right wing and the more-of-the-same lot. I don't know what I think of him just yet, but so far so good. #Skwawkbox | Video: Polanski ‘apologises’ to Starmer ‘on behalf of all immigrants’ after Starmer’s racist speech #GreenParty #Starmer
Hmm. #ZackPolanski talks about taxing the wealthy and the UK's complicity in the #Gaza #Genocide Then Iran Ahmed claims the UK is not participating in it. #Skwawkbox | Polanski speaks strong on Gaza genocide and on tax as #Kuenssberg wheels out Israel advocate However, not only is the UK selling weapons to Israel, it aids the genocide in other ways, as #DeclassifiedUK reports: #OccupiedPalestine #GreenParty
I watched a really enjoyable #Japanese movie called Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes. It's basically about a guy who discovers a two minute lag between two laptop webcams, and very quickly discovers he can have conversations with himself, with his future self revealing things about the future 2 minutes ahead. It's called a #ScieneFiction comedy, but really it's just a playful take on time travel. The characters take this simple premise then expand upon it, taking the two minute future/past scenario further, with pleasing results. Strangely, many of the scenes are replayed from a different perspective but they don't feel repetitive or become tiresome. Pretty much everything is foreshadowed as well, so the sense of peril is diminished, but it's still very enjoyable and somehow it doesn't matter. What drives the film forward is how it takes you through the time travel logic. It's complex but not difficult to follow. It all seems carefully thought out and you could sit and carefully work it all out in your head (I didn't) but it's playful enough to make you think you don't need to scrutinise it too much. And it's all set in one location in a shop/office building. It's all neat, simple and contained, and it's contained within 70 mins. It's a good film. #JapaneseCinema #Movies #Films #Scifi
#Skwawkbox | CPS case against Palestine Action activists for blockade of arms factory thrown out "The case today was dismissed because Instro refused to give any evidence because they don’t want to be scrutinised in the courts" #WeaponsCompany #Gaza #Genocide #PalestineAction
#Skwawkbox | Israel’s handful of ‘aid trucks’ is pure #PR. After months of starvation, it will not save these kids "Kids were starving in Gaza BEFORE Israel’s blockade. A few trucks now for Israeli and western propaganda is too little, too late – lift the whole blockade NOW" #Gaza #Starvation #Genocide #propaganda
England should deport the English, I think.
I'm not at all surprised by the way the Labour government are behaving. I guess that's a symptom of paying attention.
#ElectronicIntifada | Ascent for freedom: The man who climbed Big Ben "Yet at the same time, as the man who scaled Big Ben went viral internationally, many recognised that in this act of non-violent resistance, Day, 29, manifested the feelings of those in the West who have watched the genocide with a desperation increasing in tandem with our moral outrage over our governments’ complicity." https://electronicintifada.net/content/ascent-freedom-man-who-climbed-big-ben/50503 #DanielDay #Gaza #Genocide #Palestine #Protest
