"the initiative would give police power to arrest people who fall asleep in public" So there's a fucked up ballot initiative coming that wants to make existing at all as a homeless person a jail-able offense. It's sponsored by non-other than the Seattle police union (aka SPOG) and is a power grab to give useless cops an easy way to pack prisons. Don't sign this bullshit initiative.

Flood warning lifted for west-central King County after Desimone Levee breach

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a flash flood warning for west central King County, following the failure of the Green River Levee.

There's a crazy amount of flooding in WA this passed week. I was seeing mandatory evacuation orders being posted by WA State officials at like 11pm last night. Growing up in RVA there was a fair bit of flooding before the city did massive investments in flood walls (like 20ft in places). WA doesn't have a ton of flood protection and there's like many people's lives being uproot right now.
