Okay I’m up to 30k records per second backfilling into mysql on a framework desktop. The sync tool can do up to 40k/s. Going to try a few more tweaks but that’s not bad. After that I need to let it rip longer and see how it degrades. So far I’ve been stopping at 10M records.
I mentioned this a week ago and got a few "no thanks grandpas" - which, fair, I get it. But people want to find their friends! We resolved not to touch this until we could reasonably solve enumeration attacks and consent from all parties. I'm optimistic, but we're presenting for scrutiny now RE:
