So I *thought* it would be apparent I learned those portuguese phrases because we talk to my cat a lot. It turns out, in a tragic but predictable error, "gatinha" both means "little cat" and "cute woman." So when I said "a fat little cat! how pretty, how cute, how naughty," it did not read well
