Snoke being a clone/"strandcast" of Palpatine is really dumb and completely unnecessary. Going back to Palpatine for trilogy #3 was also unnecessary. Both choices are things that frustrate me so much about TRoS. Star Wars could have gone in a cool new direction, and instead they decided to say "erm, it was actually all Palpatine all along"
