I think that in the future we’ll look back at seed phrases the same way we look at paper wallets. Outdated, insecure, and kind of dumb. Seed phrases are the best solution we have right now, but they dull away the security provided by cryptography and make bitcoin too analogous to gold. I’m not sure what the next best solution will be. I think it’ll be a combination of things. Maybe something with OPVault or CTV, physical NFC tag backup split with shamir, a collab custody, or some combination of multiple methods.I do think that seed phrases are just a temporary solution, and not a very good one.
When you’re feeling inspired you have to strike. Inspiration is fleeting so you need to ride that wave while it’s there. I must think of a way to make auto-swapping to default mints easier.

Don't just spend bitcoin. Throw it at them with ecash.
Spent all evening showing throwing ecash at people. This way of tossing people bitcoin is special, people react to it really well. All credit due to the push UX of ecash.
Remember, the anti-democracy ‘WeStErN lIbErAlIsM hAs FaIlEd’ are a fringe LARP online minority. Don’t feed them.
Philip Zimmermann on why Chaumian ecash never caught on despite its solid cryptography.
We don’t need LinkedIn for what we’re building.

This 1983 clip of Steve Jobs gives me chills. He's describing a future we’re only now starting to realize.
