Blaise Castle England
Blaise Castle is a folly built in 1766 near Henbury in Bristol, England. The castle sits within the Blaise Castle Estate, which also includes Blaise Castle House, a Grade II listed 18th-century mansion house.
The folly castle is also Grade II* listed and ancillary buildings including the orangery and dairy also have listings.
Along with Blaise Hamlet, a group of nine small cottages around a green built in 1811 for retired employees, and various subsidiary buildings, the parkland is listed Grade II* on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in England.
The site has signs of occupation during the Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age and Roman periods.
After the Dissolution of the Monasteries the site was sold. In 1766 Thomas Farr commissioned Robert Mylne to build the sham castle in Gothic Revival style.
After Farr's bankruptcy, the estate was sold several times until purchased by John Scandrett Harford, who demolished the previous dwelling in 1789 and built the Neoclassical Blaise Castle House.
His son, also named John Scandrett Harford, continued with the development of the buildings and estate, which his family occupied until 1926, when it was bought by Bristol City Council.
The park was laid out by Humphry Repton in the early 19th century. The estate is now owned by Bristol City Council.
The house is run as a museum by the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery and holds a variety of collections. The Picture Room, added in the 1830s, is hung with paintings, mostly of the 19th century.
There are selections on display from Bristol Museum's 10,000 items of historic costume, and of toys from the 18th century to the 1980s.

Castel Pergine Italy.
Castel Pergine, once a Roman settlement, which was converted into a medieval castle complex in the 13th century, is the gateway to the Valsugana valley.
For a long time it was in the hands of Margaret of Tyrol, called Maultasch, afterwards it came into the possession of Emperor Maximilian I.
In 1531 Bernardo Clesio, Cardinal of Trento, was appointed judge in Pergine: Castel Pergine thus became the property of the Prince-Bishops of Trento for a long time. In 1901 Ferdinand Putz from Bavaria acquired the castle and had it renovated before it was finally sold on to the Swiss Mario Oss in 1956.
He converted a part of it into a castle hotel with restaurant, while the rest of the castle became a cultural meeting place.
Of particular historical value are the fireplace room (Camera del Camino), the throne room (Sala del Trono), the so-called drop prison (Prigione della Goccia), where prisoners chained to their hands and necks were subjected to constant dribbling on their heads, and the Chapel of St. Andrew (Cappella di Sant'Andrea).
Since summer 2022, the latter has been home to a valuable, antique altarpiece from the 16th century, which was found only a few years ago and subsequently restored.
The first floor of Castel Pergine is open to the public, as well as the castle park inside the defensive wall.
In November 2018, Castel Pergine was acquired by the non-profit foundation "Fondazione Castel Pergine Onlus", making it the first Italian cultural public property.
Today, the venerable walls house a hotel and restaurant, and the foundation organises an annual exhibition and cultural events, such as music and theatre performances.

Confucius.
"Shall I tell you what knowledge is? It is to know both what one knows and what one does not know."
"Confucius, Chinese Kongfuzi or K’ung-fu-tzu, (born 551 BC, Ch’ü-fu, state of Lu—died 479, Lu), Ancient Chinese teacher, philosopher, and political theorist. Born into a poor family, he managed stables and worked as a bookkeeper while educating himself.
Mastery of the six arts—ritual, music, archery, charioteering, calligraphy, and arithmetic—and familiarity with history and poetry enabled him to begin a brilliant teaching career in his thirties.
Confucius saw education as a process of constant self-improvement and held that its primary function was the training of noblemen (junzi).
He saw public service as the natural consequence of education and sought to revitalize Chinese social institutions, including the family, school, community, state, and kingdom.
He served in government posts, eventually becoming minister of justice in Lu, but his policies attracted little interest.
After a 12-year self-imposed exile during which his circle of students expanded, he returned to Lu at age 67 to teach and write. His life and thoughts are recorded in the Lunyu (Analects)." (Britannica)
