The US’s decent into facism is the making of both parties. Obama was sterilising Hatian women at the border long before Trump came into power. The UK currently has a “left” party in power & yet we’re seeing rights removed from disabled ppl, trans ppl, poor ppl, hyper-surveillance to the point having a UK-only internet is a genuine consideration. Both Labour & Republicans are funding the genocide on Palestine & arresting an unprecedented number of protesters…

My website needs a redesign but I’m not a designer & can’t afford one so it’s going to be a slow process but I’m super excited. The theme is “destructed web”… there may also be a shift in tone.

It’s very easy to blame A.I. for “cognitive decline” (or whatever) in students without looking at the reasons a student would pay high fees to go to school to *not* learn. If this as widespread as it’s being made out, why don’t students want to learn? You pay £/$100,000s & you don’t want to actually know what you’re paying to know? why? In this case A.I. is just benefiting from a system that’s already profoundly broken.

Okay, so I’m down to my last 3 months of savings. I’m still working on getting funding for various projects, but IF those don’t work out, what should I do? I’m waiting to hear back from 2 grants & an internship in browser eng. I’m also meeting some folks to discuss funding, so something could change soon! 🤞🏾 
I just can’t afford to sit & wait because if it doesn’t & I’m unprepared, I’ll be homeless. I care about & want to do standards, advocacy & browser work but I’ve got to be realistic.
