Mammals have two nostrils but they aren't really far enough apart for our sense of smell to have much stereo or sense of direction. Why aren't nostrils on the side of the head so we could map smell in space more? Ants do this with their antennae. Like sound, ants sense chemicals as coming from a direction. I guess having your nose above your mouth (and connected to your mouth) helps with eating. But still seems like a missed opportunity.
Today's wake up video is Gerald who will show you his 15 pound cabbage. This is my favorite kind of short "content" just seeing someone proud of their work who wants to share it with the world. I wonder if I could grow a cabbage in a pot in our roof garden? I've never tried anything with a winter harvest before and it seems like a missed opportunity. Time to learn about cabbage root systems and planting.

Crystalizing some principles: * Durable is more impressive than expensive. There can be a lot of overlap but they aren't the same. * Durable items with evidence of their durability (nicely aged) are the most impressive. * Trends don't matter but innovation does. A new way to do something can be exciting especially if it solves old problems in a fresh way. * This may sound utilitarian but it need not be. There are still many design questions to consider.
Oh come on. Is there really a "z" in the word "cozy"? it looks incorrect to me. "cosy?" They feel like two different words. cosy: safe warm, snug-fitting, the comforts of home, traditional, muted and soft cozy: informal, calm, yet playful, whimsical and nonthreatening. (Normally, spellcheck will at least recognise both spellings. Not with cozy.) Let's make all UK/US spelling splits into separate ever so slightly different words.
